Job Title: Residential Counselor (RC)



Lead Position Available too.Please Note- Must successful complete 40 hours of orientation before starting shift. Orientation Hours: Various M-F 8am-5pm - some flexibility



1. Th-Sat Swing Hours(32hrs/week)Thur & Fri 2/3pm to 10/11pm, Sat 8am to 10pm

MANDATORY STAFF MEETING: Tuesday 2:15pm to 4:15pm



Job Summary:

Residential Counselor (RC) work involves extensive interaction with and direct supervision of adolescent/teenage girls identified as Emotionally Disturbed (ED) living in a therapeutic residential care environment. An RC participates in supervised activities; works with other staff to follow defined treatment plans; assists children in or performs housekeeping chores and cooking; accompanies and supervises children on various outings as well as medical, dental, and professional appointments; assists with homework assignments and instructs children on self-maintenance and life skills. NOTE: You must sucessfully complete 40 hours of orientation training before starting to work a shift.



Salary Range and Benefits: • $8.75 - $10.75 per hour to start depending on education and experience

• $0.25 weekend shift differential

• $0.50 Lead shift differential

Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

• 15 units in Behavioral Science (I.e., Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services,ECE, Criminal Justice, etc.) or 1 year experience in field preferred

• Valid CA Drivers License with good driving record (Required)

• Clear fingerprint background check (Required)

• Copy of degree or transcripts (unoffical OK- Required)

• Proof of car insurance
